Re: [emax] Re: Hard Disk Error CF with Yamaha Bridge

I can't tell you, because I haven't had one.
mine (IDE drive) is generic and has no model number on it whatsoever.

Hi Ted,

after reading your post realised what i've done lol

This is where i am now... pulled out an old ZIP 100 ATAPI and tested it in winxp to make sure it works, formatted ZIP etc. all fine

Set the bridge to SCSI ID 0 and connected the ATAPI ZIP to Yamaha Bridge and then to Emax

Powered up, went to Master, special and 7 to format HD. nothing...

Changed a few jumpers such as Block Size to 512 and Parity on off and re-done the tests, no difference what so ever.

Conclusion: either the bridge is broken OR its not compatible, I have no way to test the bridge in a PC but it was sold to me as working.

I am now assuming the bridge is not compatible. I am able to source an ACARD bridge cheaply and i will just do that.

Which of the Addonics Compact Flash drives is likely to work?

Thanks for your help.
