Ted: Just opened up the emax and cleaned out the spiders. Version 2 Rev C PC327 IC13 IP349 IC49 is a regulkar IC chip with three lines on it: PMI PM7524 HP 8736 IC6 is an empty socket. So it looks like a candidate for a scsi kit? Have I got this right, this will allow me to use a scsii cf drive or an internal hardrive with a mounting plate and I need an adaptor and cables. Is there any way to upgrade the os (no its on the HD or floppy correct?) and anyway to increase the memory? I was trying to reach Rob, that was a great site. I went to creative/emu but they don't post legacy material unlike say eventide. Its usually a good way to catch service note recommended updates. Lots of synths and like to have service data for all of them. I do basic servicing myself. I'll have to use the scii page to see what to check on my emax in terms of possible upgrades for cf card. Mine came with an HD manual but looks to be a basic emu with software 3.2. lorne -----Original Message----- From: emax@yahoogroups.com [mailto:emax@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Ted Summers Sent: Tuesday, June 04, 2013 7:04 AM To: emax@yahoogroups.com Subject: Re: [emax] Re: Emax Service Manual Musicparts.com has it available (from my understanding), and somewhere else on the web. It is still copyrighted material and is not (or should not be) in the files section. Rob (formerly of EmulatorArchive) also had it available (as he had "right to copy" from Emu). Whether he is still doing that or not, I don't know- though if you have no luck at Musicparts.com, let me know and we can try and reach out to him.
