Emax SE samples

2003-02-13 by Alex Pereda

Hello

I used to have an Emax SE (Baldwin IKE) and sold it and got an EMAX II. My problem is that when I open some of my SE disks the samples sound like garbage. All I hear is a very high pitch noise. Not all of the presets on the disk get corrupted.

Any ideas?

thanks

this is very common, the SE Development disk that came with the Emax SE contains
samples that utilize loops smaller than the Emax II will allow.

Will this happen only to small samples? I wonder if there is a way around
it.
Thanks for the info.

When I converted from my Emax Se HD to EMax II the SE development disk and some
other SE sounds I had were the only ones that didn't convert at all. Most of my other
banks just needed a little loop tuning here and there. There is no way around it unles
you can relopp the sounds which I was never able to do. I think the samples themselves
were to small to be looped any other way.

The problem I have is not with the SE development disk sound, but with sound
I created from different sources. I'll try looking at the loop settings.

thanks
