There are only certain specific models of CDROMs that work with Emax.
Those were slow old drives (1x / 2x) I do believe.
Faster drives don't work.
Unless your drive is on the known working list (you didn't tell us the model), it is probably not going to work.
You can use EMXP to read CDs in though....
