Hello I'm new to this group so apologies if this is a well worn topic. My Emax HD SE keyboard powers up but does not get beyond "Loading Software". Is this a known issue, if so is there a fix? Regards Ken

have you put a os disk in it as thats part off the boot routine if the hard drive has failed it will look for a floppy drive osOn 1 June 2015 at 11:57, Ken Wheeler kenwheeler@mac.com [emax] <emax@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Hello

Thanks Jamie.
I have 2 discs, "Emax HD 1.1 CD Operating Software" and "Emax Software Master Revision 1.1 HD", which I have tried, both come up with either"Disc Error" or "Disc not formatted".

other wise if you have a device other than that you will need to boot by floppy first to the + version so you can change scsi idthe emax wont boot from cd you need a scsi hd which is set to scsi id0 for it to boot from scsitry writing a new disk if that dont work i would say the floppy drive is faultyhave you disconnected the hd drive inside alsoOn 1 June 2015 at 16:56, Ken Wheeler kenwheeler@... The 2 discs are floppies which came with the Emax, I quoted the labels on them (which say cd), but they are not compact discs.
I will try disconnecting the hd drive. How do I write a new disc?
