Emax Disk problems

2003-04-29 by fergal_f

I am a newbie!!

I went out bougth 100 ddsd disks for my emax.

I have used to EMX prog that is posted here to make some disk sounds
and some sounds work ok.

I am trying to do some sampling of my own. When i put the disk in to
the emax and format is seems to go through, as i try to do anything
else it gives me "diff software Rev"

How do I over come this ? do i have to update the software on the
unit? and if so how do i accomplish this.

Thanks

Fergal

Hello Fergal,

this happens when you load in a floppy with a different OS version.
Make sure that you have the same software version (preferably the
latest)on ALL your floppies. Check under MASTER 8 Special which of
your floppies hold the newest OS and copy that with Copy Software
onto the ones with old OS (will only overwrite OS,not affect the
sound data on these "Old OS" disks). That´s it. Regs RR

Thanks Reg for the help I appreciate it.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
