Emax to Emax SE or EMAX II???

Emax to Emax SE or EMAX II???

2003-05-05 by ugster909

I have just bought an Emax (not sure if its the Emax 1?) but it just
has the Emax "signature" style logo going up across the top not the
big pink EMAX II lettering..... (sorry i know there have been loads
of different Emax versions!!)

Anyway is there an operating system disk avliable to turn my Emax
into and Emax SE - or even an Emax II?

Emax SE would be fine - what were the differences? ALso could anyone
direct me to a website etc? were i could download this onto floppy
for my new machine?

Please help!

Problems with Emax 2 and CD roms

2003-05-05 by Daniel Barnes

Hi all

I've just revived an old Apple CD 300+ 2x CD reader,
which is supposed to work with the Emax 2. Trouble is,
it doesn't seem to.

If I start up off the floppy, it doesn't want to
recognise the CD drive attached. If I start up off the
drive (I'm using a North Star CD Rom library disc) it
doesn't seem to load - it just keeps scrolling thru
the scsi options.

Any clues, anyone? I'm also mailing North Star.

regards
Daniel

Check that the SCSI ID on the Apple CD 300 is not set to 0. ID 0 is
used for the floppy drive. Hope it helps,
