does anyone know of a place in los angeles that sells spares for old emu
gear and won't insist on doing the work themselves? i'm trying to find out
how much this emax ii would cost to fix, and if its worth fixing at all!

i'm after at least a keyboard (this one turned up broken), power supply
(whistles like its about to blow) & a floppy drive (d.o.a.). if the machine
is worth saving i'll also get a hard drive mounting kit.

There is a emax II power supply on Ebay for $20 currently. I am unsure of the rest.

No emu spares

2003-07-28 by Rob Keeble

Hi,
Try www.eprelectronics.com - they are the LA E-mu Systems vintage repair
shop. However its often cheaper to buy another Emax II. A replacement
keyboard alone will cost $100 +

E-mu Systems (or rather Creative) just re-launched the www.emu.com web site
and pulled the plug on ALL vintage support (as in anything before 1997 !!!),
The vintage manual downloads have gone, as well as all the information the
Emuons loaded into the Tech Support Database. Another sad day in E-mu
Systems demise..it can't be long before the doors close.
