It's simply not possible at this time. Perhaps Translator will be able
to do it when it's Emax module is complete, but currently the importing of
Emax samples can only been done by the Emax II. I think the Emax II is
the only machine that can expand 12 bit samples to 16 bit.

Hi,
The Emax samples are linear 12-bit, so Soundforge and Awave would need to
support this to work, and they'll need to be able to dialogue with the Emax
(request sample dump). I have had no success with Wavelab and Emax, but lots
of success with Alchemy and SD II. Can anyone confirm sample dumps work
between Awave or SoundForge and Emax?

If you want to transfer Emax factory samples into the EIII its very easy.
Buy the EIII CDROM's with these samples on them.!!!..Elements of Sound
Volume 1 and 2 are all Emax samples in EIII format. In fact the Emax Gold
series samples are EIII samples ported back to the Emax...

Hope this helps - Rob

I use to use Sound Forge and my Emax SE HD all the time, I still use it with my Emax II.
If I remember right the only real problem I had was the sample rates. I had to create
sample rates to match the Emax and Emax II. That also means you need to have a
sound card that can handle those rates as well. Some cheaper sound cards only play
back samples at the standard rates. It's all a bit of a blur now since I haven't had an
Emax SE HD for 5 years.
