Emax

Hi,

I have an Emax and sometimes the floppies do not eject
all the way. The floppy drive works fine, no read or
write errors. I have fixed this type of problem on
some floppies installed on PCs. I can not figure out
how to adjust this problem on the Emax floppy drive.
Does anyone now how to fix this or know where I can
find a replacement drive if this one finally goes bad.

I had the same issue on my Emax SE HD before I sold it. I took out 
the drive and cleaned it, but never figured out how to fix it. I think either 
the spring where's out or it just gets gunked up somewhere where I 
couldn't get to fix it.

Thanks for the response. Is EMU the only place that
sells this type of floppy drive?

Absolutely not. We had this discussion a few weeks ago and I 
mentioned that any Mac Classic compatible Double Density drive will 
work to the best of my knowledge. However their was some 
disagreement so make sure that you can return the drive just in case 
you need to try a PC compatible Double Density drive. One of them 
definetly is going to work, it's not some odd E-mu only floppy drive.
