Emax

Hi all, when I load sounds into the Emax II and play them, I notice that they all have some sort of effect on them. The best way to describe said effect is: crackly resonance. Is there a way to shut off the effects from the sounds? I mean, every sound on every bank has this going on. Perhaps this is not an effect and maybe something worse?
