If only the Emax and PC could work together

If only the Emax and PC could work together

2003-11-22 by Chris Wright

Hi guys, just wondering if anybody knows of a better way (without
buying a mac, Atari or anything other than a PC) that I can upload
or download samples from the emax I.

I have been trying to work with EMX however the EMAX does not
recognise them.

I have contacted SoundQuest about Midi Quest and they don't support
the Emax either.
What was so hard for anybody to actually talk to the Emax which to
me is such a popular machine.

Has anybody done something for windows ?

I know that most people in music prefer the mac however not everyone
does including me.

I hope somebody can help.

Thanks
Chris

Look for PC software that support MIDI Sample Dump Standard. like Sound Forge,
Awave, and SampleVision. SDS is for sending just samples though, no preset
information. MIDI Quest doesn't deal with samples at all.

Is anyone currently working on the Emax Windows Editor that we started a thread about
a while ago?

I'd certainly like to prefer the Apple to the PC, but I can't afford one and all the new
software I'd have to purchase. Maybe someday. I am planning on building a ProTools
set-up in the next 5 years and that will definitely be Apple based.
