Emax

Hi all, 

i just bought me an EMAX SE...Huray! BUT ...umpfh... the data slider 
is broken and i soon noticed that this is essential hing when 
programming sounds. 

Do you have any idea what i can do to replace it? i opened my emax 
and it looks like a simple fader but i am not very good in those 
things. maybee anyone have experience with that ? could i go to a 
local electronc store to fix it up ?

btw: when opened it up, i was wandering why there is on chip left 
right under the power supply? is that normal?
