The Emax Display has no light. I guess the LED is dead ( also my data 
fader ) What kind of LED should i take ? any technical details - can 
i use any colour ? i would prefer a blue one, maybee. 
is there maybee info somewhere on the net?

That's no LED, that's an EL foil. The question is whether it's the foil
that's gone dead or the inverter. Get our your DMM and look whether
there's about 100V AC between the 2 connectors on the foil. If not, the
inverter's dead(, too). As for where to get replacements... you might
have a look at
  www.backlights.co.uk

Addendum: for continental Europe, especially the Euro countries,
www.midi-rakete.de is another good source.

I prefer this seller to co.uk,

I got backlights for 2 MPC 60's and my emax rack from this guy.  Wolfgang is
very nice and is very good at getting the right measurements.  the co.uk
backlight I got needed some trimming to fit.

Does anyone here know of a USA source for the Emax backlight?  I've 
seen references to European sources, but no references for American 
sources.  A company name and web address or phone number would be 
greatly appreciated. Thank you.
