Emax and other samplers(little bit long)

2004-03-21 by Nicholasfaith@...

Hey Rob, I love the way my Emax adds it's character to what ever you throw
in it.
I don't know if I have a real fave.. Emax is my fave sound wise because
nothing sounds the same after being in it. I use an se model Emax, Emu E3x with 32
megs, Kurzweil K2500rs with 128 megs, Akai S1100 with 10 megs and a Prophet
2000. they all serve for different sounds but the E3,K2500 and the Akai are
right infront of my sitting/mixing seat so they get the most use because they are
right there. I'd like to get an Emax se Rack, I'd like to get rid of the
Prophet also and replace it with the rack version but time will see. I love logic,
I haven't tried Kontakt yet but I'd like to give it a try in time.
Anyone here used the Emulator V. Hardware/software combo yet?? I'm really
curious about that, I just wish they'd make a version for Mac as well.
Thanks for listening to my rant, Nicholas
PS. my E3x is still not working quite right, it'll load some things if they
are small and if I'm lucky. I have no experience with removable Magnetic
Optical drives, can anyone tell me one they will work with my Emu and Akai? I read
the Jaz drives will work but I've heard real horror stories.
