What's happening

What's happening

1999-07-06 by John Joseph Silveria II

Hello all, we have 5 subscribers now I think! Well at least we all know
we won't be flooded with email..LOL. Just to let you all know what is
happening with the Emax and Emax II User's Group website.

I recently registered my own domain name silveriafamily.com and
am looking through the endless bs of web hosts company claims to
find a good one. When I get settled in San Diego in September I will
upload a new Emax and Emax II User's Group. In the works is a
online version of the RS-422/MIDI specifications manual (I have an
extra copy for anyone who will help me translate the endless SYSEX
data to HTML) and a much larger storage space for the exchange of
user created banks.

I also plan on adding a section on Spectrum Interpolation and
Transform Multiplication synthesis. I'd love to have user made
tutorials that include a sound bank and step by step instructions on
manipulating the bank so that those of us who don't understand it
much can get an idea how to get usable results.

If there is anything else you think I need to add or that you would to
share via the website please let me know.

So we're five!!!! Great!! That makes us one too many to fit
around a poker table.

Opinions about your Emax-site:
A while ago I mailed you some Emax-II banks, wouldn't it
be nice if you set up an on-line archive, but maybe the amount
of data is too big. If your'e interrested in setting up an archive
I can contribute with some 900 Mb of banks I've collocted from various
CD-ROM's

I did mention that was a part of my plan. I'm not sure about the
sharing of professional banks publicly would be a wise idea. I'd hate
for some out of business company to come sue me for distributing
their product. But, we'll see.
