Soundbank Disk with EMX - Problem !!

Soundbank Disk with EMX - Problem !!

2005-04-15 by walnuthorse360

Hello all Emax Friends.

I ve load the emx tool from our site. Then i format some disk in my
emax II HD ( all DD Disk ) . On another Site i ve found some Original
Soundbanks (zd700.em1,zd702.em1 ...) because my Emax has a Conner HDD
with 340 MB Ram and some Banks on it but not Originals EMU Banks on it.
After starting load Bank form Disk the Emu shows Loading ... and at the
End i ve some Banks to play but all the sounds has an Vibrato or
tremolo on it . Is it possible that i make an Error while making Disk´s
with emx ??

thanks a lot and have a nice weekend !!

Andy,

when you get an LFO like thing going on, your data got corrupted. This
happened to me for several tries. At the end, I bought an old computer
from a collegue that works fine. With my newer Pentium and real basic
I just could not get it to work. I guess you need a barebone DOS
machine although other people got it to work with their windows
machine. I personally believe that some of the problems results from
the floppy drive itself. Not sure though.

Good luck,

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
