Emax

Looking to replace a drive on an Emax , anyone know of any stockists 
in the UK . Also after LCD backlight .

Route66 link seems to be down ATM as well , which doesn't help .

  my name is Paul I am into the Brazil. I have a EMAX,mas the drive of diskettes his NEC FD 1035) is with problems & no she reads mais. No with oneself meet a substitute to place em your place. anybody could me indicate any site where possa buy a drive?? Another question : he should be like me link a drive of compact disk hd , or zip drive on entrance " I computed interface "?? Welcomes the attention of all & I ask excuses without no me communicated very happily on mensagem,pois I am by using a translator on - linear.

replacements, some have the same blue backlight, others have a green 
or yellow backlight colour - as per Emax II's. You can use LCD's with 
EL backlights (as per the original) or experiment with LED backlights 
which last longer but need a different power supply for the LED's 
(typically 4.2V 120mA rather than 140VAC 400 Hz ). The new LCD must 
be the same size of 85 x 36 mm and use the same connection layout of 
a double row of 14 data connections and 2 separate backlight power 
connections. 

A typical LCD is the PowerTip PC1602-H available from RS Components. 
This is a 16x2 LCD with purple/white EL backlight. 

Replacement 3.5." Floppy Drive New floppy drives are still easy to 
find, although they are not the standard computer product. We 
recommend the TEAC FD235HF-A529 which is in black and has jumpers for 
setting the ID to zero. These drives cost more than the typical PC 
component, but they can be found from some TEAC dealers. You will 
also need the correct 41 mm bezel in black which is about $3. Order 
it from a TEAC dealer or TEAC direct."

  O drive de disquetes não esta funcionando e não consigo encontrar um 
drive para substitui-lo.
  O modelo do drive do meu é um NEC FD1035.
  Na verdade eu já comprei ele com esse problema( e sem 
disquetes)...ele liga e tenta ler o disquete de distema OS ,mas não consegue.A 
principio pensei que se tratava de um problema no disquete,mas após gerar mais 
alguns disquetes pelo programa "Emax Disc Utilities" (rodando pelo DOS) 
vi que nenhum estava funcionando.O drive não consegue ler os disquetes. 
  Tentei adaptar um outro drive,mas ai o teclado diz que o formato do 
disquete não esta correto.
  Mandei o drive original para um tecnico olhar e ele não conseguiu 
arrumar.
  Desde então estou procurando um drive que possa servir...
  Estou louco aqui para escutar o "bichinho" conversar,rsrsrsrsrs
  Vc saberia onde posso encontrar?? ou me indicar um outro modelo de 
drive que possa servir??
  Pesquizando e perguntando aqui e ali,já escutei muitas 
"estorias",tipo:
  o drive do pc Amiga;do Ensoniq EPS e Mirage,poderiam servir,mas nada 
com muita certeza...
  Já cheguei a encontrar 2 pessoas vendendo Emax,mas uma estava com o 
problema igual ao meu e a segunda pessoa esta com problemas na placa mãe 
do teclado,mas não quer vender.
  Estava querendo ir em São Paulo,para procurar na rua Santa 
Efigênia...mas gostaria de saber mais detalhes sobre outras alternativas,tais 
como:
  Seria possivel ligar um drive de cd-rom a entrada "computer 
interface" e dar o boot do sistema pelo cd?? ou até mesmo ligar um zip-drive??
  Cara,valeu pela sua atenção...agradeço muito mesmo,pois ninguém que 
procurei entre tecnicos e tecladistas,não souberam dar nenhuma luz sobre 
o caso.

  Não sei qual é a versão do meu Emax,acredito que seja o SE...onde
