Emax

Hi everyone,

I bought a Emax II about a year ago and now the hd doesn't work anymore 
(which means: booting is only possible via 3,5" floppy disk).

I like to replace my hd - and as I read many of your postings here, it 
seems I am on the beginning on a long journey ...

Therefore I need a little bit help in the beginning, to know where to 
start ... my question:

What seems to you the best/easiest (I haven't studied IT ...)/less 
expensive/most reliable/quietest (!) way to replace the hd? Which 
medium do you suggest (new hd, zip, compact flash, ...)? I'm looking 
for something reliable, easy and cheap to purchase, easy to install ...

Does anybody of  you sell those thingies?

What I did was buy a 540 mb Conner off of ebay for a good price and an external case to put the drive in and used the external scsi.  With this approach you will have to make sure your HD is turned on before you turn on your Emax II, but it still works very well.  I would have just put it in the machine, but I did not have the mounting brackets inside of mine.
