New Member- Hello!

Hello, all!
I just purchased my Emax II and am loving it!
I'm having the hardest time finding DS/DD disks, though. I've ordered
some online, but they're backordered (of course). I've downloaded EMX
and all of the files from EmulatorArchive, but have to get the disks
to do anything. Does anyone know where to get a hold of DD disks?
Also, Does anyone have a link to ".em2" files? I know that the .em1
files will work, but I'm just curious...

Looking forward to your replies,

Frank

Hi Frank, Short term you can try to use the HD disks by covering the hole on the opposite side of the disk (the one without the removable tab) with thin opaque label then format it in the Emax. After you use the disk you will probably not be able to use the disk as a HD disket again as the writing voltage is higher and will not allow a complete re-format of the disk back to HD. You may want to try xxxxx.em1 disks numbered zd749 and below for starters as there have been a number of users including myself who have not been sucessful using EMX on disks numbered above this. Give it a try the only thing you have to loose is the HD Disk.

Good luck,
Skip

My best results came from searching on eBay for "DS/DD"

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
