Incorrect panning in voice 5

Incorrect panning in voice 5

2008-05-15 by Chip

Hi! I'm having incorrect panning ONLY in the voice 5 using stereo
mode, of coure (totally mute R channel).

The diagnostics manual says that I have to replace SSM2047 or SSM2300.

Anyone knows wich IC SSM2047/SSM2300 belongs to the voice 5?

Should I get an emax only for use the SSM chip, or can I get it
somewhere?

Could be only a polarization problem in the IC? (wich maybe could be
resolved short-cirucuiting pins).

Remember that in 20 years this keyboard has been used a very very few
times (10 recording studio sessions max., and was turned off by
years before I get it).

any suggestions?

Chip

PS: I've done alignin (by eye) the floppy drive and works fine.

When gear sits for years Caps get stiff or go bad entirely. Then when it finally gets booted up, DC flows through the bad caps (when they should be blocking DC) and takes out other parts.

Chip-

I recommend for you to get the Emax Schematics from Rob at Emu
Archive for $15 USD Paypal. Then you would know every part related to
each channel.

Is good stuff! Without it I would not have probably been able to
finally figure out how to get the laptop floppy drive to work in
emax....

Regards,
Ted
