EMAX 1 SE HD rack Save questions

EMAX 1 SE HD rack Save questions

2008-06-03 by djbluedrink

Hey, I purchased an EMAX SE HD Rack about a year ago to compliment my
MPC 60 and I'm still having a few problems with it. For one, I knew
when I bought it that the HD did not work. This was not a problem
because I have a ton of DD disks. So anyway, the OS is updated to the
most recent one,(Made the disk in EMXP), and the machine works fine. I
can sample, playback using the MPC pads, and use all processing fine.
The problem is I can't save my sounds. This is weird to me because I
made a copy of the boot disk using only the emax and had no problem.
It just won't save my banks. When I go to save I get a disk error and
then it locks up and I have to restart it, thus losing my work. Does
anyone have any idea as to what can be wrong with this thing? If it is
somehow just the floppy acting funky should I just get a card reader?

Did you format the floppy disks on the Emax before you tried to save on them?

I formatted 2 disks on the emax when I tried cuz I figured the first
one might have been bad. And no way am I selling it for parts unless
it goes completely Kaput. It took me way too long to find one of these
bad boys and its a big part of my sound.
