Emax

For those interested, my first lot of 10 drives was spoken for, assuming I
could get read /write firmware. I received that end of last week after much
searching and contacting several companies trying to acquire the firmware.

Everyone has not actually purchased yet that has reserved them, but they are
still on hold for those people...

I am getting 10 more of the PCD-50b drives from the ebay seller.

I will flash them with the read-write firmware, configure them for use in
the Emax, and test them in the Emax.
They should be available for sale after update and testing next week.

As they are only usable as single slot, I am selling them for $25.
That is less than picking up an IDE drive and then getting an Acard SCSI to
IDE bridge, I do believe.....


Also-
If someone has an Emax 2 as well as an Emax 1- if it can be tested in an
Emax 2 that would be great.
Or alternatively if someone lives in reasonable proximity to Springfield, OR
and has an Emax 2, I would be willing to part with a drive for cheap or
maybe even free if someone wanted to bring the Emax 2 by my house for
testing. The person would need to bring a 512MB and possibly a 256MB (and
maybe a 1GB also) CF or SD format card- I have adapters for those two types
for sure, for a couple of tests..... in that way we can guarantee the
compatibility and I can post that to the group. The formatted size works,
etc.

Later today I will post a couple of pictures on my LiveSpace so you all can
see what the drive looks like.
