Hi to all of you - I'm a new member of your group, I owe an E-MU EMAX
I (OS 3.2) and few good sounds taken from the internet (via Zipped
EMX format) - I heard and used the outstanding emulatorarchives.com,
that's really fantastic - thank's to them! I know as well about
silverfamily. Is there any other site allowing me to get sounds for
one of the greatest samplers ever?

Thanks for your answers,

Viruses and worms on emax group email

2002-04-25 by Bob Conner

Can everybody please scan their computers for viruses?

I keep getting emax group email that had a virus/worm
attached (but thankfully removed by Yahoo so far).

Is there anyway to determine the user and block them?

Thanks!

Bob

Hi,
Symantec have a Virus removal tool for the klex strain of nasty viruses that
are circulating at the moment. Its here

http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/venc/data/w32.klez.removal.too
l.html

I recommend everyone sweeps for viruses and gets the latest virus detection
software/updates. It might be wise to switch off the ability to send
attachments to the mailing group if that hasn't been done already at
eGroups.

The ability to send attachments is off and as far as I can remember has always been off.

I will also state for the record it's not me with the virus. I don't use a MS based mailer I
use Pegasus Mail which is of the most virus resistent email programs out there and I
also never allow email attachments from anyone. :)

Be safe and be smart, immediately delete email with any attachments unless it is
something you specifically requested.
