SCSI Kit /device issues

SCSI Kit /device issues

2010-02-04 by Ted Summers

So I know haven't sold any kits in like 8 months.

What I am wondering is the following:

1) Did everyone who has purchased a SCSI kit for Emax 1s get them
installed?

2) Everyone who bought SCM PCD-50b drives from me successfully using
it with samplers?

I would be interested in hearing if anyone is having issue or needs
help with the items I sold, just to make sure everyone is happy and
working....

Best Regards,
Ted

Hey Ted,

I sent you some pictures -- so I think you know the answers, but yes and yes
:-)

Very happy, and I hope the new owner of my Emax I keyboard is just as happy.

How many have you got left. ?
I considering to buy a kit but, but need to find someone to solder it
first, as i dont't want to ruin the emax with my not too good soldering
skills.
also i will need a disc drive.

Floppy disk drives

2010-02-04 by Michael Wisbech

Have any one had success with using a modern floppy drive in the emax. I
have tred to reverse, the pins 9 and 10? - dont remeber exactly now, but
was a little confused because moderne cables is reversed at pins 9-14 ?or
someting.
I found that reversing just the 9-10 pins made my floppy been seen by the
pc as a 'B' Drive.

The PCD-50b drive works great, the new 1/2" floppy in the front works
great. I love being able to boot up so quickly from the card reader.
These are great upgrades adding new life to a cool sampler. Thanks!
