I have an 8MB Emax II, please help

2010-03-05 by Reinaldo

I got an 8MB emax II finally, but is the mono version. I have another 4MB Emax stereo and in better shape.

It is possible to trasnfer the 8MB to the stero Emax II?

Thank you.

Yes, but you will need to burn an 8MB, stereo sampling Emax II image into the EEPROM for the
extra memory to be recognised on the stereo Emax II.

Yes, but you will need to burn an 8MB, stereo sampling Emax II image into the EEPROM for the
extra memory to be recognised on the stereo Emax II. Unless you are lucky enough to find an
unused memory install disk...

I uploaded a 8MB stereo EMAX II EEPROM image to the files section a while ago. I can burn one easily and send it to you if you don't have the means. Since you have two EMAX II's with memory boards you should just get some memory chips and make two fully loaded machines.

Thanx Everet. Where can I find that sort of memory chips? I believe the next step would be to create a tutorial on how to develop the upgrate because I believe it needs soldering and stuff like that.

In my case I will have to wait a wile since the stereo Emax is in Venezuela and I am in Miami for I do not know how long now... :s

But at least I am closer in having an Emax II Tuerbo Charged: 8MB and 1GB internal Compact Flash Card as a hard drive :)

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
