Emax II Display

Hi

I'm a little worried about my Emax II. The backlight, which is relatively bright, went out a few nights ago. After working on it the next day for a couple of hours it suddenly came back on. The same thing happened last night but only for about 10 minutes. I was just wondering if this is a sign that there's something wrong with the power supply? Any ideas?

Hello.

I wouldn't point to the power supply. I would look more to the inverter (the small black box on the main board) who provides the hi voltage for the electroluminiscent foil. Resolder pins if needed (both there and on the lcd PCB board).

Luckily it's stayed on since I wrote this. If it happens again I'll have a look at the inverter. Thanks for your help.
