Emax keyboard "12 bit sound"

Emax keyboard "12 bit sound"

2002-09-08 by beatconnections

I'm interested in buying a emax keyboard and I already own a Mpc 2xl
and use a lot of computer software. I'm wondering is it worth picking
up this board I saw one under 200 dollars and I like try different
pieces of equipment. I dont own a 12 bit sampler and the mpc doesnt
do i good job at changing the bit rate from 16 to 12. Any thoughts?

That's such a hard question to answer. What do you want it to do? What are your
expectations of a sampler? Do you want IMHO the best sounding sampler for analog
and bass patches? (yes) Do you want a great sampler for working with your computer?
(no) The Emax is a very old piece of technology that although it sounds amazing and is
one of a kind does not have even the meat and potatoes a sampler nowadays would
offer.

It sounds exactly the same as the SP1200 to me, but it has a completely different
interface (obviously) You can get a copy of the OS from Rob at
http://www.emulatorarchive.com in the UK.
