Emax

I just got a used Emax II and so far it seems to work fine, although I haven't been able to do much with it since I've been busy/about to move and I don't have much of a setup together. 

Anyway, there are a couple exceptions. The first is that sometimes when I power it on (usually for the first time of the day) it will work fine for about 5 minutes and then abruptly reboot. Luckily afterwards it usually doesn't happen again for quite a while. Is this a power supply issue? Is there a chance of it getting worse?

Second, I'm fairly sure the floppy drive doesn't work as if I try to format a 1MB DS/DD disk (which I'm fairly sure worked in my Ensoniq keyboard) it always throws a disk error. I'm looking for a replacement but anything I might be overlooking?

Still, I'm excited to own my first hardware sampler even if it is old and cranky. :)

Welcome to the family:).  I keep going back to these old hardware samplers as well.
