RS-422 to USB

RS-422 to USB

Okay, I am a noob here, and this has probably already been covered, but will this work with an Emax Se?
http://www.ftdichip.com/Products/Cables/USBRS422.htm

or this?

http://www.usconverters.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=75&products_id=196&zenid=b974fe32feb4639d758e8d5f5e78f87e

I saw what was offered on the EMXP site, but I am more interested in a retail solution... my DIY projects have led to me turning an Emax HD+ w/ scsi in to a boat anchor...

No this won't work. Read this:

http://www.emxp.net/ and click on the EMuSer Link somewhere in the middle. There he explained everything.

Connecting to the Emax is not that simple.
It's RS422 is a bit "special" if you will.

You say you have an Emax boat anchor- where are you located?
I am in the US, and Jammie is in UK and potentially it could be fixed.

Regards,
Ted
