Weird phasing sample issue

2013-01-21 by eric justin

Hey gang
Im new around here. I just picked up an emax I last week and so far i am really enjoying it. I was trying to sample some drum sounds to make some costim kits when i started having a problem. The problem i am having is that my samples sound like they are phasing. Its almost as if there were two of the same samples pasted over one another. I first thought it was a problem with my pathbay so i sampled the kick of my tr 707 directly from its individual out. Same thing happened. I think im doing something wrong here. Please help
eric

Never mind, I'm a dummy. It was a midi loop causing the samples to retrigger.

on the drums have you got chorus set to on

as a chorus delays a signal and uses an lfo to modulate it

on synth sounds it makes them thicker

on drums you will get phased drums
