Emax

I just picked up an Emax II and in the process of replacing the hard drive. However, the display is doing some really strange things. I'll boot the machine up with the floppy, and everything is fine. Once I start making some menu changes, the display will show the menu backwards on the screen, or the menus will be scrambled on certain parameters. I'll reboot the Emax and the next time it comes up, the menus will be scrambled and/or backwards on different pages but fine on the pages I just used. Doesn't seem to be any pattern to it, just happens randomly.

The LCD itself seems to be working correctly, no dead pixels, doesn't look like it's going out. I'm wondering if it's some kind of software issue.

I've tried reseating the cable for the display, doesn't seem to affect it.

Anyone experienced this before?
