I've had a number of people ask. So far this list has been fairly spam- free. Posts to auction/sell/buy EML gear, parts and accessories are acceptable. No other selling/trading to be done on this list. If you are not sure, check with me first. Thanks Your host, Mike B digiboy@...

Mike,
Do you play out using your EML stuff in NYC? If so, where/when?
Thanks,

I experiment with recording the EML stuff at home. Always wanted to put somekind of performance/band together where I could but most of it is too delicate to cart off to a gig anyway. Hi, We have an EML100 in very good condition. I'm in the midst of trying to find any and all documentation for it including users manuals/schematics/etc... Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks much, Kurt Stallmann Rice University

It was only on the market for s short time and then was updated to the 101 which was EML's most succesful model. Unfortunately it's very difficult to come by any useful information about the 100. I only recently managed to get a picture of one (it's in the photo archive for anyone curious). The image isn't perfectly sharp but you can see that it very closely resembles the 101 in control layout. The only obvious difference is that there is no control knob on the 100 where the sampler control is on a 101. That probably means it doesn't have a sampler...probably...but you would know better than me. If you like, you could send me some detailed photos of the control planel and I might be able to deduce a bit more. More photos of a 100 for the archive would be great. It's a pretty safe bet that the 100 operates basically the same as a 101but is probably missing 1 or more features that they added to the 101. I don't think it has anything unique that the 101 doesn't have... but you'd really have to set the two models up side by side to be sure. Mark Vail's book mentions that the VCO's on the100 are able to generate interesting accurate waveforms from an "engineering" standpoint but the 101 is better geared for generating musically interesting sounds. Regardless of that, I have no doubt the 100 would be a lot of fun to mess around with, as is the 101. I wish I could offer you some more info leads but there just isn't much around. If anyone else would like to add more or can suggest a good source...please step up and help out! Thanks! regards, Mike B Mike Berman digiboy@...

Hi Kurt,
I just responded on the EML list.
About the only other thing i can think of is that getting a manual for the
101 (which should be easier to do than getting one for the 100) might be
somewhat useful in figuring out the 100. I have no paperwork on the 100.
Yes, any and all photos of a 100 would be appreciated. I might be able to
make a copy of the 101 manual but it would be while, couple weeks at least.
regards,
Mike B
