EML 101 patching

EML 101 patching

2008-11-02 by mfretton

OK I've had my EML for a few months now & love the wild & unpredictable sounds it can
produce, but I'm still at square one with patching. Apart from the fact that patchbay is barely
mentioned in the manual & is far from self-explanatory, when I try to patch things like EG1
into the filter control I get...nothing!

Has anyone here some useful tips they could share? For example, is it possible to modulate
the filter using both an LFO and an EG at the same time using a patch? Has anyone got a
delayed vibrato patch?

All help gratefully received!
Matt

I m not in front of my 101 at the moment but off the top of my head you don t need any patch cables to do what you re asking. All you have to do is adjust the

thanks Ben,

I was using OSC4 as a pitch source when I was trying to do the EG+LFO
filter modulation but I guess I could patch in VCO1 instead. I've not
managed to make a delayed vibrato either & am still mostly baffled by
the patchbay, but it's a great synth.

There s only 1 filter input for external control. The one with the arrow pointing down. You could patch Osc 1 to that input. This breaks the normalization of
