The next version is coming... probably next month. New features will be at least full support for Emulator II and translation from Emax (I/II) to Emulator II. Maybe also the other way around. Currently I'm using already Emax factory banks on my EmuII and it sounds great, but it still requires some finetuning of the parameter tables, esp. the cutoff frequencies. Additional Emu-III features will be part of the next-next version. The process of reverse engineering the Emu-III has been completed though so I have the full specs now. SoundFont 2 support will be developed in parallel, I don't know when it will be released. SoundFont 2 will probably replace Akai S1000. I don't think anyone is using the Akai features and I guess SoundFont 2 is a better way of providing a "bridge" between EMXP and other translation software. ///E-Synthesist --- In emulatorII-list@yahoogroups.com, "Rick Johnson" <jrjnsn@...> wrote: > > Speaking of which, ///E, how's the new EMXP coming along? > > I work with the current version often.
