Have you tried cleaning the floppy drive with compressed air and/or a
head cleaning disk? ie: http://tinyurl.com/6qf5yj

If careful cleaning doesnt help, Id look into a replacement floppy
drive (either internal or external SCSI).

Yes, there are ways to put the files you need on CD-Rom (ie: find
someone who has a Mac with a SCSI CD burner, or load a PC reading
extension: http://www.tempel.org/joliet/), but ultimately you will
still *need* a working floppy drive if you value a hassle free legacy
Mac experience.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
