I replaced my display with a standard led backlighted dotmatrix display...it seems that they are all pincompatibe...only bad thing...the original vintage optic suffers a bit from a very bright from all angels readable display ;-). when you are not into 100 % vintage these modern led backlighted displays are better because they dont indroduce these highfreq hiss to the system as the old el foils do.
