I've got a midi interface for my EI, but you do need to power up the E1 with a MIDI OS disk in to use it. As far as I can seen, it's stuck on midi channel 1, and omni is OFF (Thank god!)
My camera is pretty average, but I'll try and get some good pix of it.
It connects to the large D connector on the back of my E1 (RS 232 ?) So, I'm guessing that if you don't have this connector on it, midi might be a bit more tricky.
On another note, I've just installed a midi kit in my Korg Poly6.. this was a very simple install, and like a few of the cheaper Midi kits out there, just interface with the keyboard matrix. Midifying the E1 this way would probably be a better option, as you would not have to worry about the Midi OS etc.. work for someone else tho..
Regards
Mike

This would be possible with the JLCooper MIDI Interface they built.
Or maybe if someone with this particular unit would share the schematics or
take some pics or something we could built one ourselves.
I am interested too by the way J
