Silly question about sound designer for Emulator II

2008-11-04 by Rodney Moore

Hello,

I have a ton of EII banks that are transferred to my PC via my old MAC. How do I do the reverse? What I mean is I want to copy the EII banks of the PC to the Mac. I want the sound designer program will recognize the files as a valid EII bank so I can transfer the files back into the EII. I had to archive the files off the mac because it is only about a 300MB drive on the mac. I've archived all 3 Universe of sound CDs and 100 factory banks plus 50 FMS designs collection, a K-muse collection and some homemade banks. All together, I've archived about 1700 EII banks to PC. The banks were recognized until I copied the files to PC. PC must put a label or extention on the file that prohibits SD from recognizing it as a bank.
When I look at the file properties using a Mac, the valid EII banks show up as a document. When I look at the valid EII bank that was transferred from my PC, it shows up as a PC document. Both file sizes are identical. Do I need to rename the PC file with a .EII extention? I tried that but SD still doesn't recognize the file.
I don't know that much about macs. Any tip would be great.

Thanks,

Rod

PS I was the one asking advice about pricing an EII with CDS3 package I want to sell. I'll probably try to sell the whole package at first but if I don't have luck, I'll break it up. And NO, I'm not the Rodney Moore who is a porn star. I am just a nobody who enjoys the emulator II.

Thanks again!
