Disk upgrade kit

Disk upgrade kit

2001-04-20 by Joerg S

Hi ya'll
I just got the disk upgrade kit. Installation was very easy, but with
different disk's I got different error messages.
Rob gave me the information that only unformated 3 1/4" DD disk's will work.
Does anyone knows a store ore a dealer where I can buy these disk's.

Any experience from other users with these upgrade kit?

Thanks for help!

Best regards//

wow...finding UNFORMATED floppy discs, good luck!! I had a run in with this
deal myself on the Korg DSS1, I found out there is no way to unformate a
disc, which makes it even harder. Let me know if you find any, and if thats
the case with the Ell drive then we can use Copy Q with the unformated discs
and it will make a copy OS and all to another disc!

3.5" Diskettes

2001-04-21 by Rob Keeble

Hi,
It is relatively easy to find the right diskettes for our 3.5" drive upgrade
kit.
Imation make unformatted 3.5 DS/DD diskettes, part number 12042.

To find a supplier just search on Imation DS/DD unformatted. Or go to
Microwarehouse in the US, here is the web page with the diskettes for
sale...(box of 10 less than $6)

http://www2.warehouse.com/product.asp?dept%5Fid=638&cat=supplies&pf%5Fid=ME0
423&blind=no

Hope this helps.
In the UK, a good supplier is www.action.com

Regards
Rob
