It looks like my E II+ hard drive has finally bit the dust, occasionally lost contents and now it won't even format. I was wondering if anybody knew right off the bat what kind it needs. If not, I'm sure I can look it up. Just thought I'd try the lazy approach first. Plus it gives me an opportunity to say hi after a long time. Kirk S

... Found some info, but I'm not quite tech enough to know the proper way to go. I see that Miniscribe 8425 is recommended. Is the ST412/ST506 interface the right one for the EII+HD? The only other ones I see are SCSI and Integrated XT. I seek the wisdom of the masters. Kirk

Hi It must be a ST506 Miniscribe 8425, no other drive will work. Make sure you have OS 3.1 HD to format and setup the drive. http://emulatorarchive.com/Samplers/E2Overview/E2Repairs/e2repairs.html Regards Rob

Is there any replacement info amongst our group for the motherboard for the hard drive? My motherboard died in '95. As this part was made obsolete, my emu was retrofitted back with the two 5.25 floppy drives. : ( Tommy Sent from my iPhone
