The program Live has a feature where it triggers events to whatever the quantize 
resolution is set to (i.e. the next 16th note). So, as long as you don't trigger the sample 
too late you'd be OK. This feature wouldn't work for all instruments, but it would for many.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
