Had a bad volume pot once. I was recomended a product that worked awesome. Try DeoxIT D5 by Caig. www.caig.com Also spray a light film over battery and replace to prevent any corrosion. Should install new battery if it is 5 years old. Hope that helps. Rock on 2101 users.
