Volume Pot Replacement Issue solved.

2006-04-09 by jspazi

Thank you all very much for the input. I headed to Raido Shack to see
if they had the 100k Volume pot I needed...they didnt. So after
reading the posts you all so kindly took the time to make I picked up
some Contact Cleaner / Lube. Just the Radio Shack Brand because I
could get my hands on it ASAP. Sprayed it in the opening waited a
minute or two and started twisting the pot to work the stuff in
there. I also cleaned the 1/4 in jacks whicher were cruddier that
hell! Last as suggessted jsnstanley I replaced the battery ( CR2032,
Radio Shack part #23-162 )
jsnstanley, Man I gotta tell ya that was a great suggestion because
loking at the top of that battery you could tell there was gonna be
trouble. I popped the battery out an it was sitting in a bed of
greenish white battery stuff. I again used the cleaner in the
battery clip and on the battery.

End result: Dead f***ing silent!

One thing to watch out for...I had to do a factory reset because I
pulled the battery. Heres how:

Hold the Utility Button down while powering on.
The flag on the logog screen will turn to a *
Follow the propmts to reset all the presets.

Thank You!
J
