Hello I use the 2101 in live situations for lead and rhythm guitar, as well as playing keyboards through reason on a laptop, using an fcb 1010 floorboard. Pretty intricate system. I run both of them through what could be considered a PA, my power amp and two 12" pa cab speakers. The sound through the pa speakers is fantastic! Just like running through a 2x12 cabinet, but with more defined highs from the tweeter. I've tried all of the gizmos on the market, and just recently bought the 2101 because the tone and versatility can't be beat. I htought about an xt, or pro, but settled on the 2101 for the sound. I easily, well, maybe not easily at first, control it all with the behringer; keyboard, computer and 2101. Our second guitarist uses an xt. And our two tones, aren't quite day and night different, but I definitely get the looks when it's my turn to solo. My opinion, get a midi footpedal, and just use the 2101, it can get whatever sound you want without dumping a bunch more dough on stomp boxes. The 2101 can function as though in stomp box mode either with their own Control One, or a modified prom on the behringer called an uno. regards --- In gsp-2101@yahoogroups.com, "revansx" <revansx@...> wrote: > > Hi folks, > I request your collective thoughts and wisdom on how (and if) my 2101 > can be used in my 'new' gear, namely my PODxt pro. > They look so good together ;-) > > If you want to skip all the narrative, scroll down to the bottom of my > post for a bare-bones list of my questions for you. > > Otherwise, here's my long winded story: > > [Begin long-winded story telling] > ------------------------------------------------------ > I have been a 2101 fan since Aug. 1994 when I first bought one along > with my first guitar. 12 years later, I am neither a GSP expert nor a > geat guitarist, but i have always loved playing and especially through > my gsp.
