Welcome David! Good to get some of your history.  My hat is off to 
you for your diligence.  I too love my 2101...I'm creating a vast 
array of Classic Rock tones myself...such as the keyboard intro to 
JANE by Starship.  

I'm not sure what you're having trouble with on the N. Gates, but as 
a 2 yr plus "daily" user, I dont think messing w/ the mixers is 
anything but for real the experienced. That would proly be the last 
area to tackle, IMHO.  Best of luck, Mark
