Subject: 2101: Control One questions

Short questions for those who know (Dieter?):

1. Does anyone know what type of switches the C1 uses?. Are they momentary or latching.
Yes- they are momentary and type is 4x11.5x11.5 mm 4 pin- button

2. Could these (with some mods ofcourse) be replaced with a "real" stompswitch. Like the switches you see on the J12, Ground Control Pro, All Access, Bradshaw? If so which type? SPST? Any chance of using a stompswitch that "clicks", instead of the "clickless" one in the J12.
yes - but you need another housing for the FC1

3. How does the internal expression pedal work? Just like a volume pedal with a pot, or is it light responsive?
No- there is a LED mounted on the pedal. and an photo transistior an the board... when you press the pedal forward, the LED moves nearer to the transistor. The value is read out by the INTEL- processor.
I'll soon will write an FC1- upgrade page... Software and so on...

THANX GUYZ.

Maarten

ps I'm trying to figure out if I can improve the C1.
