after upgrading the unit with a PPC-210 (bought from second hand
market , but it's a Dieter card) the issues seem to be corrected.
Perhaps the 3.00 firmware is not 100% stable without the PPC expansion
installed?
Anyway, thank you for the suggestions.
Greetings from Spain.

DigiTech has always been very reasonable about repairing their
discontinued products.

Nestor:
EPROM Version 3.00.00 is stable whether or not
the PPC-210 is installed. The only possible issue is when owners upgrade
to version 3.00.00 and forget to perform a factory preset. If you forget
the factory preset, the unit does some real whacky stuff, especially when trying
to use the MIDI interface.
I have two GSP-2101s, one with and one without
the PPC-210. I used them to develop our GSP-2101 interface for MIDIWizard,
which runs only under Windows. Because the MIDI interface is poorly
documented, it took me about 400 hours to develop the GSP-2101 interface for
MIDIWizard. I undertook this task while recuperating, so I had plenty of
downtime to research the intricacies of the GSP-2101's MIDI
interface.
If you want to embark on a completely new
development from the ground up, you have my encouragement. But
please use MIDIWizard as a barometer. I have over 300 copies of the
GSP-2101 interface out there, and I have had no bug reports in the last 2
years.
I hope this gives you some
perspective,
