RE: [gsp-2101] 2101 help with effects

You have no more memory to store algorithms. you will have to delete some user algs or get another 2101. Another way would be to find a stock factory alg that has what you want and use that.

The best way to add or remove an effect is create an alg/patch with that effect and then switch between alg/effects.

There is a program called midiwizard available that can help make sense out of your patch/alg relationships, do backups and other uses. You can request a copy at http://www.gsp2101.noisytoyz.com/ under software.

The only complaint I have with the 2101 is the lack of enough memory... however, I find that it is still one of the best sounding most configurable units out there. You might also consider picking up a used TSR24S, and place that after the 2101, to get more effects and flexibility. The TSR24S is just a 2101 without the preamp section.

Needs some help from a fellow 2101 owner. I have the studio version
with the 3.0 artist firmware. To my understanding I need to follow the
studio manual, and refer the artist programs. Seems the menus match the
studio manual and not the artist.

I'm trying to modify 159 ( f 3 ). All I want to do is add some revb. To
my understanding I have to change the algorithm. But If I do that I
will mess up 5 other programs. If I edit the algorithm and save as a
new name the system tells me I'm out of dram. I'm so confused? How does
a person do something simple like adding revb to a program? I would
have to edit the alg, right?

A second question of sorts. I have set my pedal board to have
1,2,3,4,5,6,7 set to programs. Then I wanted to set 8,9,0 to effects.
The idea was to select a program and If I wanted to add delay I hit 8,
if I wanted revb I hit 9, and chores I would hit 0. Come to fine out it
does not work that way. Instead the pedals 8,9,0 can only be made to
modify the effects in the selected programs alg. But in the case that
particular alg does not have the effect I need I'm sol. Can I not just
add a globe delay with the press of a pedal?

I have yet to find a good place to ask questions about the 2101 ( forums ). I truly hope this is the place. the 2101 is a very nice piece of equipment but not support much any more.

ps. If anyone knows of xp software other then those media wizard folks please let me know.

Sean..
