What you describe may be caused by the following reasons/defects:
- weak battery
- corroded battery holder
- DRAM defect
- weak capacitors in the PSU

Well what happened was a bunch of weird charectures showed up on the screen and the unit felt really hot...and now It shows the boot up screen over and over again.

What are the symptoms? If it just went dark (no power) then the internal power supply is suspect. The power supply is easily replaceable. This happened to my unit.

My 2101 stopped working suddenly i am really bummed because i just bought it and its toast :( Can anyone offer me some information about getting it repaired.
